Tata Electronics’ ambitious entry into India’s semiconductor landscape is being propelled by a series of strategic partnerships. The Rs 91,000 crore fab, coming up in Dholera, Gujarat, will have manufacturing capacity of up to 50,000 wafers per month. Reports suggested that the first chip is expected to be rolled out by mid-2027. Tata Electronics is also setting up a Rs 27,000-crore greenfield facility in Assam for assembly and testing of semiconductor chips.
