HCLTech expands South Africa operations with new regional headquarters in Johannesburg

IT services company HCLTech on Wednesday said it is scaling up its operations in South Africa with the opening of a new regional headquarters in Johannesburg, featuring an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre of Excellence.

Located in Sandton, the new facility is aimed at strengthening the company's technology innovation and delivery capabilities for enterprises across South Africa and the wider region, HCLTech said in a regulatory filing.

The newly established AI Centre of Excellence will allow clients to explore HCLTech's full-stack AI portfolio, encompassing AI-led service transformation, industry-specific AI solutions, AI engineering, AI foundry, AI factory and advisory offerings.


The centre will also function as a dedicated training hub to nurture technology talent and strengthen the country's digital workforce, the company said.
