Users across several regions reported problems with Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok on Friday, with many unable to access the AI chatbot, receive replies or sign in to the app.

Data from outage tracker Downdetector showed that most complaints came from mobile app users, making up 71% of reports. Another 28% said the website was not working properly, while 1% experienced login issues.

The number of user complaints peaked at around 6:30 am (IST) at around 800.

Many users took to social media, asking whether Grok was down and sharing screenshots of the chatbot failing to answer questions.

xAI has not addressed the issue or given an official statement as of yet.

The disruption is the latest in a series of technical problems faced by Grok in recent months. Users have previously reported slow responses, sign-in failures and repeated “high demand” alerts during busy periods and software updates.
