Google faces outage, users unable to access Gmail, Google Workspace

Users reported an outage on Google workspace on Thursday morning as they faced issues with logging into their Gmail accounts, and Google documents, among others.

Downdetector, a website which tracks outages in real-time, showed there was a spike in the number of outage reports to over 2,000 after 11 am IST.

While 82% of the users reporting the issues said it was a server connection, 12% had login issues and 6% said they faced trouble receiving mail.


“Google Workspace, Gmail, Google Docs - all seem to be down. Forced break from work,” said a user said on Twitter.


Another user said his Gmail was down in the office but was working fine elsewhere.
