EvenFlow elevates sourcing head Shashank Ranjan as its cofounder

Evenflow, an e-commerce roll-up firm, has elevated Shashank Ranjan as its co-founder. Ranjan, who joined EvenFlow in 2022, was the head of sourcing at the company and had earlier worked with brands like Udaan, Decathlon, and Tata Steel.

“Shashank joined us on November 2022 — at the darkest hour of the funding winter, and that’s when our wheels had started to come off. He took it as a challenge and has been instrumental in the turnaround story — through his relentless hard work, faith in a higher being and core belief, and the contagious shield of positivity he always wears," Utsav Agarwal, founder of EvenFlow, said. "I am confident that with Shashank as my cofounder, EvenFlow will be able to grow its revenues multifold this year and profitably.”

EvenFlow had upped its sourcing game, which resulted in a 12.5% increase in gross margins, thus driving the company toward profitability, it said. In mid-2022, EvenFlow’s sourcing from China was at 30%, which stands slightly under 6% at present, part of its wider Make in India strategy.


Founded by former Uber and Glovo executive Agarwal in 2021, Evenflow has raised capital from 9Unicorns, Village Global, Equanimity, Kunal Shah, Vijay Shekhar Sharma and many others. It has acquired several brands across home and kitchen, sports & fitness and baby care category, with presence in India & US, and scaled them on the back of online marketplaces.

Ranjan has been a driving force in improving the efficiency of warehousing and logistics by 50% by drastically improving per-unit storage units, quicker inventory rotation, direct shipments from manufacturing partners to customers, and building flexible processes to scale up operations.
