Esops allocated to Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal amounted to Rs 387 crore for second half of FY22
CEO Deepinder Goyal, voluntarily waived off his salary for the year ended March 31, 2022 while company CFO Goyal had forgone his salary for the months of January, February and March this year.

In May, Goyal told employees that he will donate Esops worth Rs 700 crore to the Zomato Future Foundation. The proceeds will be utilised for the welfare of delivery partners and their children.
Among the key managerial personnel, chief financial officer (CFO) Akshant Goyal’s salaries and other expenses amounted to Rs 50 lakh and his stock options were worth Rs 3 crore in the half-year ending FY22. Sandhya Sethia, the company secretary, salaries and other employee benefits, as well as Esop expenses, were Rs 30 lakh each.
Additionally, CEO Goyal, voluntarily waived off his salary for the year ended March 31, 2022, while company CFO Goyal, had forgone his salary for the months of January, February, and March this year.
The filing showed that Zomato’s independent board of directors Kaushik Dutta and Namita Gupta earned a sitting fee and remuneration of Rs 30 lakh each, and Aparna Popat, Gunjan Tilak, and Sutapa Banerjee were paid Rs 20 lakh each.
