Elon Musk’s X faces a 'massive cyberattack', platform reports third global outage
According to real-time monitoring website Downdetector, over 40,000 reports were recorded during the second outage, with users encountering issues on both the X website and mobile app.

Musk alleged that the incident involved a “coordinated group” or a “country”.
He responded to a user on X who mentioned protests against DOGE and attacks on Tesla stores, suggesting that the possibility of this downtime being an "attack" on X could not be ruled out.
According to real-time monitoring website Downdetector, over 40,000 reports were recorded during the second outage, with users encountering issues on both the X website and mobile app.
The first disruption took place around 3:30 PM with over 2,500 reports detected in India, followed by a similar outage having over 1300 reports, recorded at 7:30 PM.
Frustrated users have taken to other social media platforms to share their experiences, raising concerns about X’s stability.
“X outage” was trending on rival social media platform BlueSky, with some posts welcoming users to the site and urging them to stick around.
Musk bought the former Twitter in 2022 and also serves as the CEO of Tesla. He's running X while simultaneously having access to US government data systems — often wearing a shirt that says “tech support.”
