Elon Musk has weighed in on Jeff Bezos’ decision to reshape the Washington Post’s editorial stance, reacting with a one-word comment—“bravo”—while tagging the Amazon founder on X.

Bezos, the billionaire owner of the publication, announced that the opinion section will now focus on supporting “personal liberties” and “free markets”. The shift led to the resignation of opinion editor David Shipley and sparked a debate on social media.

“I shared this note with the Washington Post team this morning: I’m writing to let you know about a change coming to our opinion pages,” Bezos said in a post on X.

“We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets. We’ll cover other topics too of course, but viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others.”

The exchange triggered further discussions online, with some backing Bezos’ vision while others criticised the move. Reacting to Musk’s comment, an X user wrote, “Look at Elon setting the trends!”
