Edtech startup Classplus appoints Zomato's Manish Chawla as CTO

In a career spanning over two decades, he has worked with MakeMyTrip, Paytm, and Dream11, among others.
“Classplus has built a phenomenal ecosystem for educators, and is playing a pivotal role in democratising education and making it more accessible. Keeping technology as a front-runner, I look forward to helping drive growth, delivering product innovation along with customer success at a global scale," said Chawla.

As of January 2022, nearly 20% of the company's workforce is a part of the engineering and product teams with 50+ open positions including software developers, engineering and product managers, designers, and data scientists across entry to senior-levels.
In June last year, the company raised $65 million in a Series C round led by Tiger Global, GSV Ventures, and Alpha Wave Global.
