EaseMyTrip cofounder Rikant Pittie nominated to join National Startup Advisory Council

Entrepreneur Rikant Pittie, cofounder of EaseMyTrip.com has been nominated as a non-official member of the esteemed National Startup Advisory Council (NSAC), the company said in a statement.

Pittie said he was honoured to be nominated as a non-official member of the National Startup Advisory Council.

"This presents an excellent opportunity to influence policies that will drive innovation and contribute to the growth of startups in our country. I look forward to collaborating with fellow council members to make a positive impact on the startup ecosystem," he added.


The NSAC, constituted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, advises the government on measures to foster innovation, support startups, and promote sustainable economic growth.

Publicly listed EaseMyTrip offers air tickets, hotels and holiday packages, rail and bus tickets as well as ancillary value-added services. The company claims to provide users access to more than 400 international and domestic airlines, over two million hotels as well as train/bus tickets and taxi rentals for major cities in India.

Founded in 2008, EaseMyTrip has offices across various Indian cities, including Noida, Delhi and Gurugram, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. Its international offices (as subsidiary companies) are in the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, the UK, the USA and New Zealand.
