‘Dario does not respect engineers’: Developer urges unhappy techies to quit Anthropic
Developer and creator Theo Browne of t3.gg has posted a public letter to Anthropic employees, escalating his criticism of the AI company and its chief executive, Dario Amodei.

Browne, who posts on X as @theo and has 325.7K followers, alleged that Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei does not respect engineers.
Browne uses the online hub t3.gg to host his blog and share recommendations. The site focuses on teaching modern web development practices, especially within the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystems. He also has a popular Youtube channel.
“I'm doing this because you work for an evil cult. I'm begging you to wake up,” said the straight-talking techie.
Browne described the Anthropic work environment as fearful, criticised the quality of code being shipped, and said he would help unhappy employees find roles at other AI labs and startups with compensation that could match or exceed their vesting schedules.
Other posts from Browne’s account have challenged Amodei’s comments on the future of coding and software engineering.
Previously, the blogger has also questioned Anthropic’s product decisions and handling of developer-facing tools.
Some users pushed back on Browne’s characterisation of Anthropic’s internal culture, saying it did not match the experiences they had heard from employees. Others questioned whether he had direct information about any firings or broader internal discontent.
Another user questioned the motive behind the post to which Browne replied: “I want my friends to know they have a path out. That's it.”
“They’re evil through and through,” said one user, in support.
Another disagreed with his perspective.
Others asked for evidence.
Another user wondered if the post was aimed at gaining “likes”
“They weaponised the hate against engineers to build a great coding AI,” declared one user.
