ChatGPT outage: Thousands report access issues globally
ChatGPT users worldwide are facing access issues, with over 2,000 reports in the US and 550 in India. OpenAI has yet to comment. This adds to a series of outages in 2025, including major disruptions in July and June.

According to Downdetector, a website that tracks online service outages, more than 550 users in India and over 2,000 in the US reported problems by 2:00 PM. The reports suggest widespread difficulties in accessing or using ChatGPT, though the exact cause remains unclear.
As of now, OpenAI has not released an official statement addressing the issue.
