Project Management South Asia Conference is a much-awaited event of the year which represents a large cohort of the project management industry. The 15th Project Management South Asia Conference (PMSAC 2023) held in Chennai on the 2nd and 3rd of September got an overwhelming response from the community and was attended by over 780 delegates from India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Co-hosted by the PMI Chennai Chapter, this annual gathering was packed with learnings and insights from noteworthy speakers on the changing role of project managers, especially in light of emerging technologies and new ways of working. By employing PMBOK and Agile Scrum methodologies, they have conducted an impressive 114 scrum meetings per month, ensuring project effectiveness. Winner: Northeast Frontier Railway

The 'Intrusion Detection System for Saving Elephant Lives' by Northeast Frontier Railway is a pioneering project. Using AI technology to detect elephants near railway tracks, it has achieved zero elephant collisions, setting a global standard in elephant conservation. This initiative showcases how technology can be harnessed for wildlife protection and safety.

Project of the Year - Small Category:

UST's 'EAP Digital Front Door' project focuses on enhancing employee well-being by providing a tailored, intuitive, and confidential experience to nearly 15 million Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) members. Its remarkable outcomes include an 88% boost in productivity and a notable 72% reduction in absenteeism. Moreover, it achieved a remarkable 60% reduction in presenteeism and an incredible 78% shift from severe to moderate mental health status among employees, underscoring its profound impact on overall welfare. Winner: Bosch Automotive Electronics India

Engineers India Limited's 'Consultancy Services for INDJET Project' is addressing India's increasing ATF demand, contributing to ATF exports to neighboring countries like Nepal. This initiative reflects the critical role of infrastructure development in regional economic growth and sustainability.

BEL's 'Manufacturing of 30,000 Ventilators' project, executed in just 90 days, showcases their ability to adapt and deliver excellence in critical care equipment manufacturing. Winner: Teesta Solar Limited by Beximco Power Company Limited

Teesta Solar Limited's 200MW (AC) Solar Power Plant is a significant step towards renewable energy in Bangladesh.
