Union Budget 2025: Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman speaks in Parliament
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the Union Budget 2025, said India's gig workers will get health insurance under the government's Jan Arogya scheme, and will be given identity cards.

"Gig workers provide great dynamism to the new-age economy. The government will arrange for gig workers' identity cards and registration. Gig workers will get health care under PM Jan Arogya Yojana. Measures will be taken to help over one crore gig workers," Sitharaman said while presenting the Union Budget on Saturday.
