Brazil's antitrust body opens investigation into WhatsApp business tool

Brazilian antitrust body ⁠CADE said on Monday it had opened ‌an ‌investigation into the new ‌terms of Meta's WhatsApp Business tool, adding it would also suspend the tool's new ‌terms ‍in Brazil ‍while it evaluates the case.

In ‌a statement, CADE said that there are potential anti-competitive practices arising from ‍the new terms regarding ‍the access ⁠and ⁠offering by artificial intelligence tool providers of their technologies to WhatsApp users.
