Bluesky down for thousands of users in the US

The status page of the decentralised social media platform, where users can share short posts with text, images, and videos, said all systems were operational, and reports of outages had declined by 10.30 am ET.

Bluesky reported an outage on Monday, with more than 1,800 user reports logged on the outage-tracking website Downdetector.

By 10:15 a.m. ET, users had taken to X to report issues accessing the app, its feed, and the website.

According to the company’s status page, all systems were operational, and reports of the outage had declined by 10:30 a.m. ET. The number of reports peaked at 2,215 around 9:27 a.m. ET.


Launched in February 2023, Bluesky is a decentralised social media platform where users can share short posts containing text, images, and videos. It was founded by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
