Bengaluru to host TiE Global Summit 2024

Nonprofit organisation The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Bengaluru chapter will be hosting the TiE global summit (TGS) in the city in 2024, in collaboration with the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM). With a theme of "Putting Entrepreneurship First," TGS 2024 aims to go beyond the tech sector to include startups in other fields as well.

President of TiE Bengaluru Madan Padaki said the summit would showcase Karnataka's role in fostering a diverse and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“TiE Global Summit 2024 is our collective ode to the spirit of entrepreneurship, and we are thrilled to host this esteemed event in Bengaluru, a vibrant hub of innovation and enterprise,” he said at the Bengaluru Tech Summit.


As part of the preparation, TiE has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with blockchain creator Algorand Technologies to foster collaboration in decentralisation technologies. TiE plans to host a series of global events leading up to TGS 2024 to position Karnataka as a premier global entrepreneurial destination.

KDEM CEO Sajeev Gupta praised the upcoming summit, saying it embodied his organisation’s mission of democratising entrepreneurship, extending robust startup ecosystems similar to Bengaluru across various regions. “Karnataka's entrepreneurial landscape encompasses over 20,000 entrepreneurs and leads the nation in unicorn creations,” he said.

TiE Bengaluru currently has 15,000 members, including 3,000 entrepreneurs, with over 1,000 members based solely in Bengaluru.
