Belgian financial company Belfius to set up new base in Lisbon with Accenture

Belgian financial services company Belfius announced on Friday plans for a new technology and operations ‌hub ⁠in Lisbon, ⁠along with Accenture. The new Lisbon hub will be initially set up as a joint venture ⁠with Accenture.

Over ​the ​course of ⁠the next three to five ​years, this Lisbon hub will ​be 100% owned by Belfius.

The Lisbon hub is ‌expected to eventually employ around ​500 people.


In ​recent ⁠years, Lisbon has attracted increasing numbers of international, 'digital nomad' ​style workers often involved in finance and tech.
