Apple TV down for about 13,000 of users: Downdetector
Apple TV down: Apple TV faced an outage in the US on Thursday, with around 14,907 users affected, according to tracking site Downdetector. In addition, the timing of the outage was particularly unfortunate, coinciding with the release of Pluribus,...

As per the website, 85% of users reported problems with video streaming. Meanwhile, 11% experienced server connection issues and 4% had issues with the Apple TV app.
Users in Canada also reported outage issues, although on a much smaller scale, with most facing issues with video streaming.
Apple’s official system status page initially showed “all services available”, but was later updated to acknowledge intermittent issues with Apple TV+ streaming. The company marked the matter as resolved within about an hour and a half.
Pluribus premiere hit by outage
The timing of the outage was particularly unfortunate, coinciding with the release of Pluribus, the new series from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan.
The downtime also affected Apple Music and Apple Arcade, compounding frustration among users. Apple had promoted Pluribus heavily as one of its flagship exclusives.
Although the exact reason for the outage is still unknown, initial reports indicate it might have been caused by server maintenance or a short-term technical fault. Most users were able to stream again soon after, but some areas continued to experience slow recovery and connection issues.
Apple TV continues to face stiff competition in the streaming market from rivals such as Netflix, Disney-owned Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. Despite these challenges, the Cupertino-based tech giant reported a record $28.8 billion in revenue from its services division in the September quarter, underscoring the growing importance of streaming and digital content to its business.
