Amazon touched ​a $3 trillion ​market capitalization for the first ‌time ⁠on ⁠Monday, joining ​a handful of Wall ​Street giants at the ​top ⁠as a ‌wave ​of ​renewed ⁠artificial intelligence optimism lifted technology ​stocks to ​new highs.

Its shares were last up ‌3.1% at $279, hitting a ​record ​high ⁠and taking its yearly gains to ​17.5%.
