Adobe India MD Prativa Mohapatra steps down after nearly five years

Adobe India vice president and managing director Prativa Mohapatra has announced that she is leaving the company after nearly five years in the role.

Sharing the news in a LinkedIn post, Mohapatra wrote: “Switching gears, taking a pause and refreshing before a new journey. After a very fulfilling nearly 5 years at Adobe India, it’s time to move on. Would like to take this opportunity to thank my customers, partners, colleagues and all stakeholders for their engagement and support along the way. See you on the other side!”

During her tenure, Mohapatra led Adobe’s India business and growth strategy across its three key divisions: Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Document Cloud. She reported to Adobe’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) president, Simon Tate.


Back when she joined the company, Mohapatra became the first woman to head the software giant’s India operations. Prior to Adobe, she worked at IBM, where she served as vice president of digital sales for Asia-Pacific. Before that, she led IBM’s sales division across India and south Asia.

Beyond her role at Adobe, Mohapatra was also a member of the Nasscom Executive Council from April 2023 to May 2026.

While announcing her departure, she did not reveal details of her next professional move other than plans to take a break before continuing with the next phase of her career.
