PM Modi welcomes launch of Google AI Hub in Visakhapatnam
Google announced on Tuesday that it will establish an AI hub in collaboration with AdaniConneX, a hyperscale data services provider. The project involves a total investment of around $15 billion over five years, 2026 to 2030.

"This multi-faceted investment that includes gigawatt-scale data center infrastructure, aligns with our vision to build a Viksit Bharat. It will be a powerful force in democratizing technology," PM Modi said in a post on X.
This comes hours after Google announced that it will establish an AI hub in collaboration with AdaniConneX, a hyperscale data services provider. The project involves a total investment of around $15 billion over five years, 2026 to 2030.
Airtel and Google will set up a data centre in Visakhapatnam along with a "state-of-the-art cable landing station (CLS)." The CLS will host Google’s new international subsea cables, expanding its global digital infrastructure.
