Karnataka’s tech platform bags gold at national e-governance awards
According to the award citation, over 4,12,546 citizens have used the state government's web applications and mobile apps, and over 25,000 departmental officers have gained from the platform.

The awards are organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and the Department of Electronics and Information Technology.
K-GIS encompasses 36 ministries and over 200 government entities and displays approximately seven lakh geographical assets on a high-precision framework with over 700 layers.
The government was recognised for its mission that provided validation for farmers. “The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) application provides industrial plot information and real-time data updates that benefit the Health and Family Welfare department,” the citation for the award added.
Chief minister Siddaramaiah said it was a proud moment for Karnataka, which highlighted the state’s ability to leverage technology.
“This prestigious recognition highlights Karnataka’s excellence in leveraging technology for governance, ensuring efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric services. A proud moment for the state as we continue to lead in digital transformation and innovation,” the CM wrote on X.
Currently, the state departments such as economics and statistics, commerce and industries, revenue and panchayat raj, energy, agriculture, water resources, BBMP, social welfare and transport make extensive use of the platform.
