The founders of social writing mobile game HaikuJAM have launched a new search engine, which will generate creative ideas. Conceived by Dhrupad Karwa and Andrew Leung, Inspo, is an artificial intelligence-human hybrid tool which can generate GPT-3 thought starters and gather inspiration from sources across the web on any topic. “Inspiration is one of the most important yet misunderstood ingredients in the creative process. Though intangible in nature, its consequences could not be more real. In a world that demands around-the-clock creative thinking but has a limited supply of the inspiration required to fuel it, lacklustre work, burnout and creative blocks are inevitable,” said Dhrupad Karwa, CEP, Inspo.

The site has been operating in beta mode over the past year, and has been used by organisations like Dentsu, Royal Enfield, Jio, Tinder and Ogilvy as well as a few hundred individual freelancers.

Users can do a keyword search and the tool will generate thought-starters which can be contextualised for a brand or topic. The founders said that the existing creative ecosystem comprises tools around the latter stages of the creative process like execution, monitoring and distribution. The tool is targeted at creative agencies, brands and freelancers, it said. The founders have raised seed funding for HaikuJAM and Inspo from Lightbox Ventures and Social Capital and the team is planning to raise a Series A investment in Q4 of 2021.
