Gupshup launches two-way messaging solution for enterprises
The messaging platform offers close to 30 messaging channels globally including APIs for SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, and GIP.

The Gupshup IP (GIP) messaging channel is integrated with payment systems to enable one-click payment experience for ecommerce, gaming or content subscriptions.
It also enables two-way conversations along with the ability to gather, with permission, user photos and location and can integrate customer-support tools, automated chatbots or other systems.
“The SMS industry is evolving into a more advanced platform for enterprises who want to offer a personalised, interactive and conversational experience to its customers,” Gupshup CEO Beerud Sheth told ET.
“Enterprises using Whatsapp Business have access to advanced messaging features, but those using SMS do not. GIP solves that problem by enabling enterprises to enhance their SMS messaging as well at inexpensive prices,” he said. The company has partnered with smartphone brands, banks, payment companies, e-commerce giants, automakers and several others for GIP.
GIP allows enterprises to offer single-window transactions for ticket bookings, e-shopping, card and bill payments, stock analysis etc.
The US-based messaging firm offers close to 30 messaging channels globally including APIs for SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and GIP. In India, it processes over 5 billion messages per month and more than 250 billion cumulative.
