Zoomcar appoints Ashu Singhal as chief technology and product officer

Zoomcar has announced the appointment of Ashu Singhal as chief technology and product officer, said a statement issued today.

Singhal will be overseeing the overall product strategy and engineering execution to deliver customer experience across all the markets where the firm operates.

He is directly responsible for product vision and strategy, product design, product development, product marketing, user research and analytics functions.


In his previous stint, he headed the fulfilment and marketplace team at Grab Holdings, a Nasdaq-listed application-based transportation, grocery, food, and parcel delivery services platform.

He has also worked across engineering and product management roles in companies like Microsoft and Ola.

“With a career in technology that spans more than 15 years across different markets like India and southeast Asia, Ashu brings an incredible depth of experience in consumer online marketplaces.

In his new role he will drive the technology and product vision to advance the car sharing experience on the Zoomcar marketplace, as we continue to expand globally,” said Greg Moran, CEO and co-founder of Zoomcar.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Bengaluru, India, Zoomcar employs over 300 people and operates in 50 cities across India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Egypt.

Uri Levine, the co-founder of mobility unicorns Waze and Moovit, currently serves as the company's chairman of the board.
