Yuvraj Singh-backed Healthians diagnostics draws up expansion plans

Healthians, a diagnostics company backed by former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, plans to expand operations to 100 new cities in the next six months.

New Delhi: Healthians, a diagnostics company backed by former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, plans to expand operations to 100 new cities in the next six months. For this, it will 1,500 people, including pathologists, phlebotomists, lab technicians and runners.

The company last raised funds in November 2019—$12 million from Japan-based DG Incubation and DG Daiwa Ventures.

Launched in 2013 by Deepak Sahni, Healthians offers a range of diagnostic tests—from allergies to Covid-19. The company, which offers home collection of samples for testing, is operational in 85 cities at present. The planned expansion will be focused on cities and towns of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana.


"The second wave of Covid-19 has made the entire nation understand the importance of diagnostics at home, and we have received exponential demand from across the breadth and length of the country,” Sahni, who is also the CEO of the company, said. “Over the last seven years, the company has built a strong technology platform to provide the country with high-quality home tests, sample collection and quick reports.”

“There couldn't be a better time than today to launch Healthians' 'At Home' diagnostic model in 100 new cities across the country,” Sahni said.
