Home services platform Urban Company soon plans to enter Saudi Arabia through a joint-venture, the company’s cofounder and chief executive Abhiraj Singh Bhal said on Friday.

He was speaking at the ET Soonicorns Summit in New Delhi.

“We’ve been very selective about choosing our markets,” Bhal said about the company’s presence in the UAE and Singapore.

“UAE was the first international market that we entered. We subsequently entered Singapore…these markets mimic India a lot,” he added.

In 2022, Urban Company exited Australia after operating there for three years. It was the second international market it entered after the UAE.

On October 11, ET reported that the company launched a range of water purifiers under the brand name ‘Native’, taking live its pilot of testing private-label consumer products.
