Teamlease Edtech to partner with Skill India for ‘Digivarsity’

The segment, called ‘Digivarsity,’ will have potential employers train students while they are still in college to increase their employability.

Learning solutions company Teamlease Edtech is soon set to launch a platform in partnership with Skill India mission.

The segment, called ‘Digivarsity,’ will have potential employers train students while they are still in college to increase their employability.

The company’s CEO Shantanu Rooj told ET that the program is set to cover 17 sectors.


“We believe Automotive will be the biggest contributing sector. We’re also setting up collaborations between employers and students in banking, ecommerce, manufacturing, logistics, and other areas,” he said.

Half the students who apply for these programs will get full scholarships, he added.

The company saw a revenue of Rs 85 crore in fiscal year 2022-23. It estimates a growth of 40-50% growth in the upcoming year.

According to ManpowerGroup’s 2023 Talent Shortage report, globally around 70% employers reported difficulty in filling roles - a 17-year high statistic. In India, 80% employers found skilled employees scarce.
