Rapido has expanded beyond bike taxis and auto rides, announcing partnerships with Goibibo, ConfirmTkt, and RedBus to enable train, flight, bus, and hotel bookings directly from its app.

The move integrates Goibibo’s flight and hotel services, ConfirmTkt’s IRCTC-authorised train bookings, and RedBus’s intercity bus network into Rapido’s interface.

The move is aimed at positioning Rapido as a one-stop solution for digital travel users, combining daily mobility with travel booking.

To provide seamless service, Rapido has added a new 'travel' section on the home screen of its app.

The move follows Rapido’s foray into the food delivery space, with the launch of Ownly, the application that went live across select pin codes in Bengaluru in August.

ET was the first to report on Rapido’s entry into food delivery on March 12. The company plans to scale the offering to 10 cities over the next year, we reported in July.

The ride-hailing firm also closed in on a $500–550 million funding round in September, making it one of the biggest deals for a venture-backed startup this year.

According to people privy to the details, the primary component of the deal is expected to be about $300 million, with Dutch investor Prosus set to pump in $240-250 million, while WestBridge Capital will invest the balance.

The fundraise is expected to strengthen Rapido's lead in ride-hailing and fuel growth for its food delivery arm, Ownly. The company grew by over 40% in FY25 and narrowed its losses.
