PhysicsWallah became the first edtech firm to get the go-ahead from Securities and Exchange Board of India to launch an initial public offering. According to an update from the markets regulator on Thursday, the company was among the seven companies cleared for a public listing.

Vinir Engineering, Pranav Constructions, Fujiyama Power Systems, Saatvik Green Energy, SIS Cash Services and Anlon Healthcare were the other companies that received Sebi's approval to launch their IPOs.


These companies, which filed their preliminary IPO papers between January and April, obtained Sebi's observations during July 14-18.

In Sebi's parlance, obtaining its observations means approval to launch public issues.

Meanwhile, Gaudium IVF and Women Health, which filed its IPO documents in January, withdrew draft papers, the update showed.
