Ola strengthens leadership team with appointment of two new CFOs

Bengaluru: Mobility company Ola Group has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of two new chief financial officers.

While GR Arun Kumar will take charge as CFO of Ola Group and Ola Electric, Swayam Saurabh will assume the same role at the startup’s mobility, financial services and foods businesses.

These two appointments come close on the heels of several recent hires, including those of

• Rakesh Bhardwaj as group chief investment officer
• N. Balachandar as Ola Electric’s chief HR officer
• Wayne Burgess as Ola Electric’s head of design
• YS Kim as Ola Electric’s global sales head

Kumar brings to the role more than two decades of experience in finance and strategy, including managing business growth and turnaround, large scale debt and equity capital market benchmark transactions, governance and reporting and compliance.

He joins Ola at a time when Ola Electric is looking to build the world’s largest two-wheeler factory, which will also co-locate key critical suppliers in two supplier parks at the 500-acre site in Tamil Nadu.

Saurabh brings over two decades of varied experience in a cross-section of roles, including internal audit, risk management, business and operational process improvements and financial reporting. He will focus on building strong growth with a robust bottomline at Ola’s mobility, financial services and foods division.
