Ola Electric to sell electric scooters in international markets, starting with Nepal
The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nepal's CG Motors, which will act as a distributor for its Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters. The scooters will be available in Nepal from the next quarter, the company said.

Ola Electric said it also plans to enter Latin America, South East Asia and Europe in the next phase of its international expansion.

Ola has been struggling to sell its flagship scooter Ola S1 Pro following a fire incident in March. The company launched a cheaper, sub-Rs 1 lakh version of the scooter, the S1, on August 15 following the drop in sales. It said it has sold more than 10,000 S1 scooters so far.
“The global EV revolution so far has been limited to the West and to China. To truly take the EV revolution to humanity scale, India will have to be the epicentre of change," said Ola Electric founder Bhavish Aggarwal. “Ola is committed to creating the EV paradigm for the rest of the world by building half of the vehicles that the world needs right here in India."
