Nykaa debuts in UK with Kay Beauty launch

FSN E-commerce, the parent company of online beauty retailer Nykaa, has expanded its presence to the United Kingdom (UK) with the launch of its in-house brand, Kay Beauty, on Thursday.

Bollywood celebrity Katrina Kaif-backed Kay Beauty will be available exclusively at Space NK, a luxury beauty retailer, the Mumbai-based company said in a press release.

Launched in 2019, Kay Beauty is a part of the company’s House of Nykaa portfolio, which includes in-house brands such as Nykd, Nykaa Cosmetics, Dot & Key and Earth Rhythm.


House of Nykaa Beauty had an annualised gross merchandise value of about Rs 2,300 crore as of the April-June quarter of FY26.

Kay Beauty was already available in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region through Nykaa’s omni channel platform, Nysaa.

“Nykaa’s journey towards becoming a global beauty brand is built on small but significant steps,” said Adwaita Nayar, cofounder and executive director of Nykaa. “Following our success in the GCC, Kay Beauty’s launch in the UK marks our second milestone.”

Nykaa has been actively pursuing global expansion. The Nysaa website was launched in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia in January 2024 and the company's first physical store opened in Dubai in March that year.

Nykaa had earlier announced a Rs 20 crore investment in FSN International, a wholly-owned subsidiary, on a rights basis. It also revealed FSN International’s plans to make a further investment of $1.9 million in one of its overseas arms.

In the April-June quarter this year, Nykaa reported a 79% spike in consolidated net profit to Rs 24.47 crore, from Rs 13.64 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations grew 23% to Rs 2,155 crore in the three months ended June from Rs 1,746 crore a year earlier.

Nykaa’s beauty vertical, the biggest revenue contributor, recorded a 26% rise in gross merchandise value, at Rs 3,208 crore, in the June quarter.
