MoneyTap appoints Ashutosh Dabral as chief product officer

Fintech firm MoneyTap has brought on board Ashutosh Dabral as its new chief product officer, in a bid to innovate and strengthen its existing portfolio, said a statement issued today.

In his new role, Dabral will be responsible for continuing to build financial products that fulfils users’ credit and other financial needs.

An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, he brings 18+ years of experience working with big names like Yahoo, Dell, Target, and AOL. Before joining MoneyTap, he co-founded Hush, a VC-backed startup for providing career advice to Indian employees, and VoyageUp, a socialising platform for local interactions.


“Access to easy credit is still a challenge that numerous individuals and businesses face in India. We believe in addressing this problem through innovation. Ashutosh’s domain expertise will be immensely valuable for us in this mission,” said Anuj Kacker, co-founder, MoneyTap.

“Ashutosh’s experience and strengths will further act as a catalyst in innovating our existing product offerings and expanding our future product lines to serve customers more seamlessly,” he added.

“I’m looking to add more value unto the current product line and take MoneyTap to new heights in the upcoming quarters,” said Dabral.

MoneyTap is India’s first app-based credit line that provides instant, affordable, and flexible credit of up to Rs. 5 lakh.
