Kogo AI set to launch LAM-based Kogo OS

Bengaluru-based startup Kogo AI is set to launch its large action model (LAM)-based platform Kogo OS this week, said chief executive Raj K Gopalakrishnan.

It will be offered as platform-as-a-service for enterprises and small businesses looking to create artificial intelligence (AI) agents, he told ET.

“We define Kogo as a universal AI agent, which can take on the personas of a customer service agent, a booking agent, a research agent, an office assistant, and so on,” Gopalakrishnan said.

Kogo OS has been rolled out in 14 proofs of concept across industries such as travel, mobility, legal, manufacturing and e-commerce. Eight of these will see deployment in production by the end of this quarter and the rest by the next, Gopalakrishnan said.

Founded in 2020, Kogo AI, which has so far raised about $2.5 million (about Rs 19 crore) in funding from MapMyIndia, expects to more than double its business in the next couple of years, boosted by the new platform, Gopalakrishnan said.

Globally, LAMs, which go beyond simply generating content as large language models do, have gained traction with the recent launch of US startup Rabbit’s LAM-powered consumer tech device R1 and firms such as Microsoft and Google investing in AI agents.
