In his new role, Maheshwari will lead the company’s product, technology, engineering and analytics functions. His main task will be to advance Honasa’s plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) in its business, including agentic AI, which refers to AI systems that can carry out multi-step tasks with human oversight.
Honasa said it is building AI tools and workflows to simplify processes, automate tasks and speed up decisions.
Cofounder and CEO Varun Alagh said technology has helped the company grow, and AI offers a chance to rethink how it builds and runs its business. “Vipul’s strong foundation in data and product, along with his deep understanding of our business, makes him well positioned to shape and lead this journey,” he said in a statement.
Maheshwari has worked at the company for six years and helped build its data and product capabilities. “AI and agentic systems represent a fundamental shift in how businesses will operate, moving from tools that provide information to intelligent systems that can execute workflows, connect decisions and drive outcomes,” he said.
He holds a master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Before joining Honasa, he worked at Delhivery and Global Analytics India.
Honasa’s net profit more than doubled to Rs 90 crore in April-June from Rs 41 crore a year earlier, its highest quarterly profit. For the July-September quarter, the company expects consolidated net sales value (NSV) growth in the early thirties year-on-year, building on the momentum of the first quarter of FY27.
