Synovate managing director Mick Gordon has been in India only for about five weeks, but is already missing access to the UK radio stations airing international sports and news. So much so, he���s planning to buy a WiFi-enabled Internet radio. ���I���m extremely fascinated by gadgets.
But I try balancing my fondness by evaluating the usefulness, functionality and worth, before actually purchasing them,��� he says. Functionality, high design quality and market dominance are some other factors which he keeps in mind.
He also plans to upgrade his Sony digital video camera model. Apart from wallet, he just can���t leave home without his BlackBerry Curve 8320. ���I���m addicted to it. The small and light smartphone has a full `qwerty��� keyboard, is WiFi and bluetooth-enabled, which makes operations easy. Life without it would be difficult,��� says Mick.
At present, he���s using a Dell Latitude series notebook, which he feels is reliable and economical. It delivers high performance in ultra thin, ultra light and stylish form. It is mostly used for work, checking mails and downloading music. Music is his passion in life. His 160GB iPod also has ample storage space for music, which happens to be English pop and rock.
He loves catching up the English Premier League, international Cricket and BBC news on his Sony Flat Screen 32��� television. Mick is planning to buy a home theater system to catch up with movies. ���As I have recently moved to India, I haven���t had the time to invest in gadgets and technology. But will soon be doing that,��� he says.
