BANGALORE: Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited, on Tuesday said its Automotive Group has achieved "Automotive SPICE Organisational Maturity Level 5" certification under the "Pathfinder" interim assessment and certification scheme for process capability and organisational maturity.

Wipro Technologies Automotive Group is the first organisation in the world to achieve Maturity Level 5 and is also the first to achieve certification under the "Pathfinder" scheme, its Chief Quality Officer Sambuddha Deb told reporters here.

A joint assessment team from Impronova AB of Sweden and KPMG (India) performed the "Pathfinder" assessment, he said. Impronova AB is an approved Ford Software Quality Partner. Alec Dorling is the international convenor of the ISO/IEC international standardisation project and SPICE project manager.

The scope of certification includes the design development, conversion/porting, maintenance and testing of software systems in the automotive domain.
