Wipro to open SAP solutions lab in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Wipro announced on Tuesday it would become a SAP global services partner and also establish a solutions lab here to showcase the benefits of enterprise SOA, industry best practices and innovative service-delivery models.

As a SAP global services partner, Wipro joins a select group of large consultancies, a company statement said.

Wipro will invest further in joint marketing resources and strategic planning to support the growth with SAP and to serve global customers and prospects, it was stated.

Wipro and SAP will leverage their respective strengths, including the Bangalore-based firm's in-depth industry knowledge and implementation skills and SAP AG's comprehensive range of enterprise applications, to jointly conduct sales promotion programmes for mutually agreed upon regional and industry markets, the statement said.

The new solutions lab here will provide customers with the opportunity to test the adoption of enterprise SOA and showcase innovative joint solutions, it said.
