Bangalore: Wipro Technologies has been awarded the Dale Carnegie Global Leadership Award for 2007. The award has been given to the company in recognition of the development of its human resources, innovation and organizational creativity for the purpose of achieving its business objectives. Wipro is the first Indian organisation that has won this organisation. Boeing, Wal-Mart Daimler-Chrysler corporation and SAS Scandinavian Airlines have been some some of the other organizations who have won this award in the past.
"This award is a testimony to the commitment shown by our employees to pursue a culture of continuous learning innovation and excellence that has made Wipro a globally renowned organisation for technology, people and business leadership," said Pratik Kumar, executive vice president, Wipro.
"Wipro currently has an attrition rate of 14% which is considerably lower than the industry-average. I think that speaks a lot about our practices, " he added.
"It is truly admirable that an organisation as large and successful as Wipro continues to believe and stay committed to the success of every individual within their organisation," said Peter Handal, chairman, Dale Carnegie Training.
