Wipro sees higher revenues from Europe

India's third largest software exporter Wipro is expecting more incremental revenues from Europe in the days ahead, company chairman Azim Premji said on Tuesday.

NEW DELHI: India's third largest software exporter Wipro is expecting more incremental revenues from Europe in the days ahead, company chairman Azim Premji said on Tuesday.

"We are strong in Scandinavian and Benelox countries and we are building business in Germany and France. That does not mean that the revenues from US will shrink. Since our penetration level in Europe is lower, the revenue will go up in years to come," he said in a book launch on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit here.

Earlier in the day, Premji had said that the company would target acquistions in the range of 50-100 million dollar.

When asked if Wipro had identified any company in this range, Premji said: "I cannot give closed information."

However, market sources said the company has zeroed in on a company within this range.
