Wipro announces changes in leadership to focus on R&D business
Wipro announced restructuring of its team with appointment of Ayan Mukerji as Global Head of PES. Cognizant acquires PIPC | IT buys more space, 15,000 jobs coming

BANGALORE: Infotech major Wipro Technologies on Monday announced restructuring of its team with the appointment of Ayan Mukerji as the Global Head of Product Engineering Services (PES) group, effective April, 2010.
The city-headquartered company also announced appointment of Jeffrey Heenan Jalil as the Head of Europe operations.
Jeff will be taking over from Mukerji, who helped the Europe region grow ahead of competition and build a strong and highly localised sales force, Wipro said in a statement here.
Mukerji will be taking over from V.R Venkatesh and will relocate to California. Venkatesh, who has held multiple leadership positions within the Product Engineering Services business of Wipro Technologies, will now head the newly created Strategic External Innovation Group for Wipro.
He will work with start-ups, large corporations, technology consortia and academia in developing innovative solutions for the market place. The scope of these collaborative innovation efforts will span across all the business units that Wipro Technologies supports.
