UTStarcom bags TEMA award

Networking solutions provider UTStarcom today announced that it has received an award for "Excellence in telecom services and solutions" in India from Telecom Equipments Manufacturers Association.

NEW DELHI: Networking solutions provider UTStarcom today announced that it has received an award for "Excellence in telecom services and solutions" in India from Telecom Equipments Manufacturers Association.

The award was presented to the company by Union Telecoom Minister A Raja at the Telecom Equipments Manufacturers Association's (TEMA's) Second Annual National Awards, said a release.

This award is for the company's innovation in Internet Protocol TV (IPTV), broadband and next generation networks (NGN) and its direct impact on India's telecom market growth.

"We will continue to collaborate with the region's service providers, as well as India's governmental broadband authority, to ensure that we establish the highest quality telecommunications infrastructure to deliver the most advanced services to consumers throughout the country," said UTStarcom Vice President and Managing Director South Asian operations Vijay Yadav.
