US-based ServiceNow says India offices build core products
The company is also exploring opportunities to hire Indian talent at its research and development centre in the US.

The company has 10% of its overall global workforce based in Hyderabad and the team works on product engineering and IP for varied technology solutions of businesses such as employee management, customer experience.
“Indian team is doing the fundamental work around our product, IP; it is not just a satellite centre. We currently have about 600 plus people in hyderabad from 300 a year ago and we continue to add headcount at a faster pace,” said John Donahoe, President and CEO, ServiceNow.
ServiceNow is banking on digital transformation across various businesses and government organisations to boost growth and the employees in India are significantly contributing to creation of cloud-based applications. Its Hyderabad office, which now has a capacity to accomodate 1000 employees, will also be home to teams that would develop next generation artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
The company is also exploring opportunities to hire Indian talent at its research and development centre in the US. “We have just opened an R&D centre in Chicago and we are attracting talent from the Mid western schools and many of which have strong Indian population,” said Donahoe.
