Uniquely positioned to offer secure solutions: Microsoft India

NEW DELHI: With its own data centre and security engagement centre in India, Microsoft today said it is "uniquely positioned" in the country to offer flexible, scalable and secure solutions to government and enterprise customers.

Microsoft India President Anant Maheshwari, who took charge last week, said the company is also focusing on expanding its partner ecosystem, including resellers, system integrators and independent software vendors (ISVs).

"In India, we have our own data centre, cyber security engagement centre that is one of seven global centres.

"We also have an R&D centre, many global centres of excellence (CoEs) here... We are working closely with the Indian government and large enterprises and can offer public, private or hybrid cloud... I would say Microsoft is uniquely positioned in India," he told PTI.

Maheshwari added that as its customers progress forward in their journey of digital transformation, they will look at flexible, scalable and secure solutions that Microsoft is well-positioned to offer.
