The company has appointed Sami Benafia as director of sales in the Middle East and Aravind Gaddala as director of product management in Chennai.

CHENNAI: Chennai-based speech recognition company Uniphore Software Systems has announced the appointment of Sami Benafia as director of sales in the Middle East and Aravind Gaddala as director of product management in Chennai.

Benafia will manage existing accounts and partners and ensure customer satisfaction on all levels. He will be responsible for developing strategic plans and objectives to drive engagement for clients and partners in the Middle East region.

Gaddala will lead Uniphore’s product strategy to drive product and customer success. He will be responsible for product roadmap for all the product lines, activating the go to market strategy globally while ensuring a product-market fit.

“Benafia and Gaddala are industry veterans with extensive experience and a proven track record. With their impressive skills and abilities, we’re confident they will drive our next set of goals and inspire our teams to innovate faster than the market,” said Umesh Sachdev, co-founder and CEO, Uniphore Software Systems.

Benafia has over 19 years of consulting and business management experience in professional services and software applications, with significant international exposure in technology and operations. He has previously worked at Genesys, SunGard and Thomson Reuters, and is an engineering graduate from University of Derby.

Gaddala comes with 15 years of experience in IT products, logistics services and BPO consulting services. He has worked with companies like Genpact, Oracle, Ramco Systems and Miebach Logistics.

Uniphore Software Systems is headquartered in IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai, and was incubated in IIT Chennai in 2008 and currently has offices in India, Philippines and UAE with 80 employees spread across all locations.
