NEW DELHI: IT czar Nandan Nilekani headed Unique Identification Authority of India has finally moved into a new "spacious" office in the national capital.

The UIDAI, which was earlier functioning out of various rooms of the Planning Commission has moved to the LIC building in Connaught Place this year.

The authority was keen on having its own office and had selected the new place in November but could not move out immediately because certain renovations had to be done.

Meanwhile, the authority has also issued tenders for supply, installation and commissioning of biometric and finger printing devices.

The UIDAI has also listed vacancies in the organization that it is looking at getting filled by people from the public as well as private sector.

The openings range from that for technical assistants to head of the Project Monitoring Unit (PMU).
