Trend Micro launches 'OfficeScan 7.8 beta'

CHENNAI: Trend Micro Incorporated, an internet security software and service provider, on Thursday announced the launch of its "OfficeScan 7.8 beta", the company's corporate desktop security solution.
According to a TM release, OfficeScan 7.8 beta would provide anti-virus and other protection for Microsoft's Windows Vista, the next generation of the Windows operating system.
Offered originally in May 2006, through participation with Microsoft's Technology Adoption Programme, the Trend Micro OfficeScan beta 7.8, would be available for download through the Trend Micro website, it said.
Within 90-days of the general availability of Windows Vista, TM proposed to launch Trend Micro OfficeScan version 8.0, the release said.
