TomTom appoints Werner van Huyssteen as General Manager, India

PUNE: Location technology firm TomTom has appointed Werner van Huyssteen as the new General Manager for India. He will be based in Pune.

Werner replaces Barbara Belpaire, who will head one of TomTom’s sites in Europe and will be responsible for strengthening the site as the flagship location for digital mapmaking, engineering and software development.

Van Huyssteen has been with TomTom for the last four years. In his previous roles, he was Head of Finance and Business Controller for the company's Maps, Traffic & NDS division in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Prior to joining TomTom, van Huyssteen held various financial management positions at leading IT and banking companies.


Alain De Taeye, member of the Management Board at TomTom, said, “I am happy to welcome Werner van Huyssteen as the new GM for our Pune office. His background in finance and profound understanding of our business will be significant to continue our ambitious plans for the site...”
